In 2011 after the MTV Movie Awards, Teen Wolf premiered for the first time, introducing the memorable characters that are still beloved to this day. The show lasted for six seasons and has 100 episodes total. Compared to its 1985 inspiration, this adaptation of Teen Wolf is darker, romantic, and thrilling. Some of the cast remain just as successful to this day, with Dylan O'Brien in particular becoming a star for being the lead role in The Maze Runner series.
The show ended nearly four years ago and is still considered one of the greatest supernatural shows in recent memory. After all these years, what have the stars of the show been doing since the show's end? Here's a look at what the cast has been up to lately.
12 JR Bourne Has Been Busy With 'Mayans M.C.'
JR Bourne portrayed Chris Argent, father of Allison and a werewolf hunter who wasn't on good terms with Scott at first. Throughout the series, the two have since gotten along and worked together to defend Beacon Hills from any danger.
As for what Bourne has been up to, he is now on Mayans M.C., playing the recurring character Isaac. Funnily enough, he wouldn't be the only actor to appear in the FX series, as another Teen Wolf star joined the cast around the same time as him.
11 Melissa Ponzio Collaborates With Powderkeg
Melissa Ponzio brought Scott's mother, Melissa McCall to life, and she is one of the most supportive parents in television. It was hard for Scott to keep his werewolf form a secret, but at the right time, they've helped each other in more ways than one.
Ponzio has teamed up with Powderkeg, founded by Paul Feig, its mission is to provide digital content dedicated to representing female and LGBTQ creators and filmmakers of color. She has been providing content for a great cause, but sometimes she will look back on her fond memories during the Teen Wolf days.
10 Linden Ashby Made A Return To A Beloved Film Role...Somewhat
As Stiles' dad and police officer Sheriff Noah Stilinski, Linden Ashby is one of the more compelling side characters whenever there is humor needed or to enhance the plot. Ashby's portrayal is genuine, and it really felt like he and O'Brien were father and son respectively.
In the '90s, Ashby is known for playing the cocky, but confident fighter Johnny Cage in the Mortal Kombat movie. In 2020, he returned to that role in the 2019 game Mortal Kombat 11. As DLC, he provided the motion capture and voice for Johnny's costume Hollywood Kombatant.
9 Dylan Sprayberry Is Working On A Short Film
Similar to how Scott was taught under Derek, Dylan Sprayberry's Liam Dunbar became Scott's student when the former became an alpha. The idea of having Scott mentor a easily angered werewolf isn't new, but their interactions paid off with their great chemistry and acting.
Sprayberry has not been too active on social media, but the reason for that is great. He is working on his first ever short film and currently has an Indiegogo set up to help with the funds.
8 Arden Cho Is A K-Pop Star?
Arden Cho portrayed Kira Yukimura, Scott's second love interest and an awesome fighter with immunity and access to electricity thanks to her mother being a thunder kitsune. After leaving the show in season five, Cho has been focusing on her YouTube channel that currently has over 500,000 subscribers.
She has been doing original songs and covers, showing off her amazing talent. Cho's voice is angelic and is something Teen Wolf fans should check out to show how diverse she is. Asides from singing, she has done vlogs, which sometimes include guest stars including OG YouTuber Ryan Higa.
7 Shelley Hennig Has Exciting Projects Coming
Shelley Hennig came at a strange time in Teen Wolf's fourth season, but her performance as Malia Tate is definitely one that shouldn't be overlooked. As a fish-out-of-water type of character, it was interesting to see her grow throughout the series.
As for Hennig, she has a movie and TV show that is coming soon. For the movie, she will be playing as Alice in Gatlopp, which is in post-production. Then there is her television show, where she will portray Daisy in Crazy For You.
6 Colton Haynes Is Silent Here And There
2020 was a shocking and rough year for many, and Colton Haynes can most definitely agree with that. After his time with Teen Wolf, before returning in the final season, he became Roy Harper/Arsenal in the popular CW series Arrow. Haynes also went through difficult times when he lost his mother and sister in the span of two years.
Thankfully he is not MIA and is on Instagram and Twitter from time to time. From his previous IG post, he has been doing some carpenter work, and it looks to be a fun activity for him now.
5 Holland Roden Also Co-Stars In 'Mayans M.C.'
Lydia Martin's Holland Roden continues to have a stacked resume for what she's done after Teen Wolf. She managed to land roles in the horror genre, specifically in Lore and Channel Zero: Butcher's Block. Her recent role, while not horror related, has managed to reunite her with a Teen Wolf co-star.
She appears in Mayans M.C. alongside Bourne as a recurring character this year. For an unexpected small reunion, this was a nice surprise for fans who are hooked on this show. Roden will even have a movie come out this year titled Escape Room: Tournament of Champions, which is the sequel of Escape Room.
4 Tyler Hoechlin Plays Two Characters From Different Worlds
As the stunningly handsome werewolf Derek Hale, Tyler Hoechlin made the fans swoon. It was a surprise that Hoechlin didn't return for season five, but he thankfully returned in the final season. His career has taken him to two very special roles in different forms of media.
Hoechlin returned to television playing as Superman/Clark Kent in the CW's Supergirl and the new spin-off series Superman & Lois. In the video game world, he would become the new voice of Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII Remake.
3 Dylan O'Brien Uses His Platform For His Humor And Awareness
He might be the deuteragonist, but O'Brien has managed to win the hearts of millions of viewers tuning in to watch Teen Wolf. Compared to the actors who starred in the supernatural series, he has been the most successful. From appearing in the novel-turned movie The Maze Runner to Love and Monsters.
You can see O'Brien being active on his Twitter account, where he shows his upcoming projects, being humorous as always, and even spreading awareness to serious occurrences that happen in our world.
2 Crystal Reed Has Been Modelling
Fans will remember how heartbroken they were when Crystal Reed's character, Allison, sacrificed herself to save her friends in the third season's climax. Tears were shed and Scott and Allison wouldn't become endgame in the series.
Reed has continued on to appear in shows, including Swamp Thing, despite being canceled. She is more active on Instagram, where she has been showing off some incredible shots. They are certainly breathtaking and even got Haynes' attention.
1 Tyler Posey Has Been Working On Music
Last, but definitely not least, Tyler Posey has continued acting after Teen Wolf's end, with his current role being the voice of Tony Toretto from Fast & Furious Spy Racers. However, he has been focusing more on music, similarly to Cho.
He has released a single titled "Shut Up," featuring singer Phem and legendary drummer and music producer Travis Barker. In a surprising twist, Posey also has an OnlyFans, where is he definitely not afraid to show off his physique.
